Chevy owners call us for everything from classic truck keys to push-to-start fobs. We've made Chevrolet keys from scratch at the curb - including for owners who'd lost every key - and we program remotes and fobs on the same visit.

Based in Fremont, serving the entire Bay Area.

Chevrolet Key Types

Which key your Chevrolet uses depends on its generation - here's the rundown.

Traditional metal keys

Older Chevrolets use a plain metal key with no chip - the quickest cut on the list.

Transponder keys

Chevy adopted chip keys later than most makes - transponder chips became common from the late 2000s onward, while many 2000s models use GM's chip-free Passlock system that still needs a security relearn. We handle both.

Remote / flip keys

Integrated lock and unlock buttons, often on a fold-out flip blade - cut and programmed in one stop.

Smart / proximity keys

Push-to-start fobs that stay in your pocket, common on newer Chevys - programmed on-site.

What We Do On-Site

  • Standard Chevy key cut on-site - $90-$220, key and cutting included
  • Transponder key cut and programmed - $120-$260, key and programming included
  • Smart / proximity fob programmed - $180-$360, fob and programming included
  • All-keys-lost and spares from an existing key - quoted within the published ranges before we head out

Every price is an all-inclusive total - the key or fob itself, cutting, programming, the trip to you, and all fees. The price we quote is the price you pay.

Most car keys are cut and programmed on-site in 20-40 minutes once we arrive.

When you call, have your car's year, model, and VIN if you can reach it, plus whether you've lost the only key. Proof of ownership is required before we cut or program a key.
