Which key your Honda uses depends on its generation - here's the rundown.
Traditional metal keys
Older Hondas use a plain metal key with no chip - the fastest and cheapest cut we do.
Transponder keys
A chip in the key head has to be programmed to your car before it will start. Most Hondas from the 2000s onward use transponder chips.
Remote keys
Lock and unlock buttons built into the key head - we cut the blade and program the chip and remote together in one visit.
Smart / proximity keys
Push-to-start fobs that stay in your pocket, common on newer Hondas. We program them on-site.

When you call, have your car's year, model, and VIN if you can reach it, plus whether you've lost the only key. Proof of ownership is required before we cut or program a key.
